Who it's for: Beginners or anyone looking to deepen their throwing skills with very focused and personalized tips and techniques. In this series we will cover the foundations, and then we will have lots of time to focus on more advanced topics like scaling larger, repetition throwing (i.e. making a set of mugs or dishes), surface decoration and attachments - we make it what you want!
What you'll learn:
How to wedge clay
Centering
Pulling and shaping clay
Creating forms like cylinders (cups, mugs, vases) or bowls, and progressing when ready
Trimming and glazing
Personalized 1-on-1 time with the instructor for extra guidance, and lots of time to practice
Included: Clay, tools, and firing are all provided as part of the class.
What to wear: Casual, loose-fitting clothes and closed-toe shoes that can get dirty.
